Janta Maaf Nahi Karegi : Humour

Image
With Lok Sabha Polls just around the corner, Major Political Parties are leaving no stone unturned to give people a mouthful laugh before they again take them for a five year ride. First came the Youngress Advertisement with Flyover kaha gaya and Metro Kaha gaya hullabaloo. Then came another trump card about rural housing plan and Employment Scheme Advertisement, where people were singing in symphony for the prosperity of food, shelter and modernization in Youngress Raj. Youngress glorified their past so emphatically that even Kalmadi was taken aback. People were happy for Youngress atleast gave a final respite through these funny videos running randomly between Behenji serials and Cricket matches alike. Considerable amount of rocket science was applied to make these ads win people s heart. But all they won was people s laughter and anger. These Ads again reminded the poor Janta what they have been denied all these years.                 ...

An inch of life.

Image
This post is  selected as Tangy Tuesday Pick by Blogadda. "An inch of life I lost, when I made myself fit to live. In an act of co-existence, I lost what I am."  In a world of compromises we are fit to live if we know to kill  an inch of life in us. This compromise is a new way of life. The diplomacy to agree without true agreement is the new agreement of a successful life. If you speak your raw mind you are a complete misfit. So all we do is speak a more synthetic mind. A processing of our true raw mind into something that is more acceptable to others no matter how unacceptable it may seem to you.   Compromises are as rampant as polythene bags. We dislike but we still use. Remember the last time you were totally in disagreement with your boss decision but you still nodded a cheerful yes because speaking otherwise would have cost you your dear job. After all you run a family and not a moral school to be speaking moral scien...

And the Universe Conspired.

Twelve months have passed and it’s the end of those several days, We make our first, yeah our first anniversary day. A walk over those many weeks, I see how we bridged those broken ways. The walk was not smooth but was tough and testing ways. It is our efforts and will to stay together, that brought this day We promise to abide by what we have learnt in those several days. Thank you sweetheart for finally making it happen this way. Without our love and efforts this would never be the day. As I write this post, I can see you and our baby sleeping comfortably with both his arms wide stretched. I know nothing compares to this eternal feeling. We the trio makes it a heaven s den. The giggle of our baby and our own conversations make it a home sweet home. But when I turn back the pages of my old diaries I see what not we did to make it happen this way, our way. It is not about the saga of troubles and hardships that we faced and fought with to buy this lif...

Road to Exhilaration -- The Drive of Five.

Image
Thank you Ambi Pur for giving me an opportunity to share an eternal road trip of my life. Teach India campaign by Times of India Group gave a blissful opportunity to many middle class educated people to realise their dream of teaching the underprivileged. We are born and then brought up by parents with elaborated educational degrees to grab the best jobs of the world. Eventually when we start earning handsome salaries we realise the importance of education and also the hidden reason why our parents sacrificed their happiness and murdered many of our own happiness in dictating and stressing upon the importance of Education. Not even a year at job and you come to a position where you can apply for a car loan with an EMI that is more than twice the monthly salary of a labourer. Then surely education proves it mettle. As I was working with a firm that was located at a remote corner of Rajasthan State I could not get connected with the campaign through the designated NGOs. B...

GWALIOR SHILP MELA 2013

Image
It was my rapacious desire to present Gwalior Shilp Mela through my lens. As am counting my fag end days  in Gwalior clicking this vibrant, colorful and photogenic fair was simply inevitable. I chose slanting sun (post afternoon hrs) to visit this historical mela. The feel of this shilp mela is great and you can find a variety of handicrafts made through generations displayed for sale and exhibition. Artist from all over the country participate in  Shilp Mela to make it one of the most sought after places in Gwalior. I personally feel it is poorly promoted by Madhya Pradesh Tourism. It deserves much better crowds and visitors. So am doing my bit to respect the art and skill of those million people who work hard all over the years to bring this spectacular show before us. The photographs are my own hard clicked snaps to give...
